Charles Clement of Alaska
With years of executive management experience, Charles Clement currently leads SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) in Juneau as president and CEO. He first joined the company in 2012 after more than a decade at Southcentral Foundation, an organization that works with the native Alaska community to promote wellness through health and related services. Charles Clement started at Southcentral Foundation as a special assistant to the president and took on increasing responsibility as special assistant to the president, chief information officer and director of IT, vice president of operations, and finally vice president and chief operating officer.
Now at SEARHC, Charles Clement manages a $125 million health care organization that supports 18 mostly rural communities in Alaska. Since joining the company, he has increased revenue by over $10 million despite a shrinking market and also reduced operational expenses. Clement attended Northern Arizona University, where he graduated with a bachelor of arts in economics and political science; he then earned a master of public administration from the University of Alaska. He has also completed executive leadership programs at Harvard Business School and Indian Health Services.
